Presentation software with smart templates that redesign slides automatically as you add content — no manual layout work.

Beautiful.ai attacks the most time-consuming part of making slides: layout. Its “smart templates” are constraint-based designs that automatically rebalance as you work — add a fourth bullet and the spacing adjusts, add a sixth team photo and the grid reflows. You can’t drag a text box three pixels off-center, and that’s the point: the tool trades pixel-level freedom for decks that always look professionally designed.
Founded by Mitch Grasso (previously the founder of SlideRocket), Beautiful.ai predates the current AI wave but has folded generative AI in through DesignerBot, which drafts an entire presentation from a text prompt, generates images, and rewrites slide copy. That puts it in direct competition with Gamma and Tome — though Beautiful.ai skews more corporate, while Gamma leans toward web-style documents and Tome toward narrative storytelling.
The team features are its real moat against newer rivals. Companies lock in fonts, colors, and logos through a shared brand kit, publish approved template libraries, and update a slide once to see the change propagate to every deck that reuses it.
There’s no permanent free tier — a 14-day trial is the only way to test it.
Sales teams, consultants, and founders who produce frequent pitch and report decks and care more about looking polished than about custom design; larger organizations that need dozens of non-designers producing on-brand slides.
Designers and anyone with strong layout opinions will fight the guardrails — you often can’t place elements exactly where you want them. Exports to PowerPoint work but lose some fidelity, so decks that must be edited later in PowerPoint may need cleanup. If you need a free option, Gamma and Canva both offer capable free tiers where Beautiful.ai offers none.
